Subconscious Fear or Reason? A Reflection on Responsibility and Risk The Night When Doubts Speak Last night I slept restlessly. Not because the day had been particularly demanding, but because my thoughts returned with unusual persistence. I woke without a clear reason, yet with the feeling that something was not entirely right. In that half-sleep state, confused thoughts moved through my mind, mixed with a sense of responsibility and a vague perception of risk. “What is actually troubling you?” I asked myself in the dark. Something answered: “Responsibility. And danger.” A few weeks ago, some friends and I began planning a trip to Mexico. Not to the safe, familiar tourist areas, but closer to the margins of the known, with more improvisation and less comfort.
