Whenever I publish travel stories, cactus photos, cycling adventures, landscapes from Mexico, or dangerous roads disappearing into mountain canyons, people react positively. But when I publish longer reflections about psychology, human behavior, anxiety, society, or the way people think, something else happens. I lose followers. Not many, but enough to notice. When Beliefs Become Stronger Than Facts Coffee, Shade, and Politics A few days ago, I was sitting outside with an older neighbor, enjoying one of those quiet afternoons that almost force a person to slow down.
